We grieve the loss of our Dear Sister and Friend to the TCC Ministry, Julie Ann Burroughs. Julie lost her fight with her illness on Mar. 26th, 2008. Born 7/17/1960, she was 48. Julie's life support was turned off on Mar. 26, 2008 at 8 AM in the morning. She was in Harry’s arms when she slipped into the comforting arms of the Lord at 9:17 AM. The funeral service viewing is on Friday, April 4 from 2-4 and again from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Burton Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th St. Erie, Pa 16506 on Saturday April 5, 2008. A planned reception afterward will be held at the Harborcreek Baptist Church 4719 Buffalo Rd. Erie, PA 16510. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation be made to the Harborcreek Chapel in Julie’s Name. A plaque is being purchased to commemorate her love and efforts to those she and Harry minister to and because of Julie’s desire to see the chapel succeed for the future, funds will be used to further the work there. Anyone wishing to donate towards the plaque may do so by sending a check to Rich Desmond made out to TCCM and sent to 473 Manalapan Road Spotswood, NJ 08884, or the TCCM Chapel direct at Harborcreek, Pa by sending and making a check to Harry Burroughs 1018 German Street Erie, PA 16503 and marked for Julie’s Memorial Fund. Though this separation is temporary, she will be missed by all who have come to love her, pray for her and wait until we are with her in Glory.
We grieve the loss of our Dear Brother and Friend to the TCC Ministry. Rev. Bill Stanley was called home to be with the Lord in Heaven on June 6, 2007. Rev. Bill was a contributor who was a guide and strength. He has produced tapes for our ministry which countless truckers have listened to and accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. He had recently completed a 4 CD edition on ETERNAL SECURITY. Little did we know that soon Jesus would call him to that Eternal Security in Him. Bill's legacy lives on through his tapes and cd's and will for years to come. Below is one of his beginning messages. The last line to his message is perhaps the sum of his life on earth. "PRAISE GOD I'M HEAVEN BOUND"
, Where Ya Headed?
You've been asked that question about a million times.
Usually, we answer in terms of our immediate destination. We
might say something like, "I'm going to try to make the Guitar City
before I shut her down tonight." Sometimes we think a little further
ahead and we might answer, "I'm headed out to the shak'y side for
a Monday delivery." I'd like to get you to think a little further
ahead. Driver, where is your life headed? What is your ultimate
destination? Who plots the course for your life?
The word of God tells us we all are headed somewhere. God's
word declares that every human being who ever lives will live for
eternity either with God or separated from God in hell.
Hosea 14:9 says, "Who is wise, and he shall understand these
things? prudent and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord
are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall
fall therein."
God has a plan for every life. God's plan is right. Those who
walk in (cooperate with) God's plan experience His blessings.
Those who rebel against God's plan stumble. God's plan for your life includes submission to and dependence upon Jesus Christ, His
Son.
Those who trust Jesus are sure of their destination. Jesus said,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father
but by me." (John 14:6)
That verse says Jesus is the only way to God. Without Him
there is no going to the Father. Jesus is all the truth about God.
Without Him there is no knowing the Father. Jesus is the offer of
life from God. Without Him there is no living with the Father.
One thing any good driver has to know is where he's going.
You wouldn't pick up a load and take off not knowing your destination. Why would you live your life that way?
Make a needed turn. Turn to Jesus Christ. Ask Him to take
control of your life and lead you in the right direction. Ask Him to
forgive your sins and take you to the Father. And the next time
someone asks, "Hey Driver, where ya headed?", tell them, "Praise
God, I'm heaven bound!"
"Rev. Bill" Stanley
